Welcome to Abergavenny Methodist Church
Castle Street Methodist Church, Abergavenny, is compact and friendly, set in a lovely market town on the Welsh borders. Our worship includes a mix of traditional and contemporary styles – we gather for worship every Sunday at 10.30am, plus there is an 8am Communion on the first Sunday of the month. We average seventy to eighty adults and have a small group of children.
There are a number of house groups meeting on a fortnightly basis and alternating with a prayer meeting. On market days (Tuesday mornings) we serve light refreshments. This is followed at 12 noon by a short (half-hour) lunchtime service .
On alternate Tuesdays we have an evening ladies’ club and once a month the men meet at a local hotel. For the pensioners there is a friendship club on Thursday afternoons and on Wednesday mornings there is a busy mums and toddlers group.
All in all, a busy friendly church.
