  • Welcome!

A warm welcome to our website, in which you will find details of our Circuit and the churches which comprise it. We are excited about what God is doing in the life of our Circuit and the opportunities it provides for sharing Christ’s love in fellowship, worship, mission and service. We invite you to join us.

    IMPORTANT NOTICE CONCERNING SAFEGUARDING TRAINING

    • If you work with children and/or vulnerable adults within The Methodist Church - and may have previously done the safeguarding training (more than 4 years ago) - you need to complete the safeguarding training a.s.a.p.

    • If you have not previously done the safeguarding training within The Methodist Church (and work with children and/or vulnerable adults within The Methodist Church), you need to complete the safeguarding training a.s.a.p.

    • Other specific church roles - e.g. presbyters, pastoral visitors, church stewards, circuit stewards, local preachers, worship leaders, church/circuit safeguarding representatives, young leaders (aged 16 to 18 years of age), etc. - also require safeguarding training.
A full list of these roles is available from either Chris.Timm (Circuit Safeguarding Admin. Officer) or from your own Minister. If you need clarity on this, please do not hesitate to ask!

Safeguarding training dates (across the Circuit) have been arranged as below:

    • Sat. 2nd March (9.30am to 12.30pm) - Llanyrafon Methodist Church
    • Sun. 3rd March (2.00pm to 5.00pm) - Llanyrafon Methodist Church
    • Sat. 23rd March (9.30am to 12.30pm) - Castle St. Abergavenny Methodist Church
    • Fri. 10th May (7.00pm to 9.30pm) - Tredegar Methodist Church
    • Sat. 11th May (9.30am to 12.30pm) - Tredegar Methodist Church
    • Fri. 7th June (7.00pm to 9.30pm) - Tredegar Methodist Church
    • Sat. 8th June (9.30am to 12.30pm) - Tredegar Methodist Church

Dates for Blackwood are still to be confirmed (and will be publicised when known).
If necessary, we may also arrange a second date for Castle St. Abergavenny; but this will be determined by the demand for another session in the Abergavenny area.

If you wish to book your place on any of the dates above - please email Chris. Timm (Circuit Safeguarding Admin. Officer) at: ctfhmc@btinternet.com.

Likewise, if you cannot make any of the above dates, but know that you NEED safeguarding training, please also contact Chris.Timm, so he can contact you with other dates as they arise.

It is essential that ALL communications go via Chris.Timm. DO NOT turn up at any session without prior booking with Chris.Timm – as it is essential we know the numbers attending in advance and to ensure we can communicate with you should the need arise to change or postpone any training sessions for whatever reason.

REMEMBER: THE SAFEGUARDING OF CHILDREN/YOUNG PEOPLE AND VULNERABLE ADULTS IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF ALL OF US.
